Council
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas is funded by the
contributions of the good people, businesses and organizations of this area. Gifts are also made by private foundations, employee payroll deduction programs and civic organizations. The Make-A-Wish Foundation
of Central & South Texas, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation, and contributions may be tax deductible. Our financial statements have been audited annually by Grant Thornton and are available
for review.
Of each dollar spent in fiscal year 2007, 86 cents was devoted to the Foundation's mission, well above that required by the
nation's leading charity watchdog groups. Seven cents of each dollar went to fundraising efforts and 7 cents to management and
general expenses.

Make-A-Wish® Advisory Council is a circle of some of this chapter’s most loyal donors,

Work
place giving programs, monthly payroll deductions, are an excellent way to contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
These gifts go directly toward granting the wishes of children in our area. Federal employees may select
the Make-A-Wish Foundation number (11375) when contributing through employee payroll deduction to their local Combined Federal
Campaign. City employees can designate Make-A-Wish to receive contributions. Also, many private companies
have payroll deduction programs. To find out if your company does, contact the company's HR Department or our office for further
assistance. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a member of America’s Charities.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our airline partners and their members, the Make-A-Wish Foundation nationally was able to grant thousands of travel wishes last year. Frequent fliers donated hundreds of millions of miles to fulfill travel wishes. We estimate that more than one billion frequent flier miles will be needed to grant each child's travel wish this year. By donating your miles you can help make wishes come true. Additional information is available on the National web site.

Tax Deductibility
The IRS recognizes frequent traveler points as a gift or an award from the corporation to the individual; therefore, miles donated to charity are not considered tax-deductible.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation also gratefully accepts donations of new toys for initial wish family visits, as well as new travel-related items and disposable cameras for travel wishes.
